Luna Bastos is a young transgender woman from Portugal who is held hostage by the Portuguese health system. She has not been provided with any treatment for her gender dysphoria. She has not been given any help for her autism. Instead the doctors in Tomar are feeding her anti-psychotic medicines, in order to keep her calm and docile.

She is suffering tremendously because of this, and we are trying to get her the help she needs. In order to do that we believe we will have to make use of the legal system.

The Friends of Luna is an international team of trans and pro-trans activists who believe in everyone’s right to be and live as they truly are.
